The Volunteer Department at Insight Rehabilitation Hospital Hillside is made up of nearly 150 volunteers of all ages. Our volunteers donate hours of invaluable service to Hillside each year. We are always looking for new members to join our volunteer team. Check out these opportunities:

Clerical Volunteer

Tasks may include light typing or data entry on the computer, filing, copying, faxing, shredding or answering telephones.

Gift Shop Volunteer

This is a retail sales associate position where the volunteer assists patients, visitors and staff with gift shop purchases. Retail experience is helpful but not necessary.

Patient Transport Volunteer

Tasked with providing safe and timely transport of patients to and from therapies and other areas of the hospital.

Adapted Sports Volunteer

Tasked with assisting our adapted sports program at the HRH Sports Complex. This includes a putting and chipping center, miniature golf course, and bocce court. No experience is necessary.

Front Desk Volunteer

This volunteer greets visitors, staff members and new patients, and has a general variety of information desk responsibilities.

All volunteer candidates must:

• Complete an application and health form
• Take a TB test
• Provide a valid Social Security number for a background check
• Be at least 14 years of age
• Be physically, mentally and emotionally competent to perform the volunteer service to which they’re applying
• Complete the hospital-volunteer department orientation and any additional training needed
