Recreation Therapy
Uses leisure activities as a form of treatment for individuals with impairments, such as physical disabilities, developmental disabilities, mental illness as well as older adults with limitations. Patients participate in activities based on their interest or they are introduced to activities that they have never performed. This form of therapy prepares people for managing their disability to achieve and maintain the highest level of independence, productivity, and well-being.
